Flames prospect Adam Fox is one of the 42 players invited to USA Hockey's 2017 World Junior Summer Showcase, the first step in their roster selection process for the 2018 IHF World Junior Championship.
The annual event will feature the USA, Canada, Finland, and Sweden facing off in a series of games in Plymouth, Mich.
Fox, who won gold with the USA at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship, recently wrapped up his freshman season at Harvard. The defenceman scored six goals and posted 40 points in 35 games with the Crimson in 2016-17. He helped Harvard win the Beapot tournament and the ECAC Championship and amassed quite a few individual honours during his freshman campaign: Ivy-League Rookie of the Year, New England Best Defenceman, NCAA East First All-American Team selection, ECAC All-Rookie Team selection, ECAC All-Tourament Team selection, ECAC First All-Star Team selection, New England D1 All-Star selection, and Ivy-League First Team selection.
The Flames selected Fox in the third round (66th overall) in the 2016 NHL Draft.
