Flames vs. Boston now on cityTV

by Staff Writer / Calgary Flames
The Calgary Flames game against the Boston Bruins Thursday, October 30, originally scheduled to be broadcast on Sportsnet  West will now be broadcast on cityTV.

The programming change was made due to the possibility of a Game 6 in the World Series which would conflict with the broadcast of the Flames game on Sportsnet. Gametime remains 7 p.m. at the Pengrowth Saddledome.

The Flames and Sportsnet announced the change Tuesday.

The finish of Game 5 of the World Series between Philadelphia and Tampa is scheduled for Wednesday evening. If Tampa wins, it would force a Game 6 on Thursday. Sportsnet is broadcasting the World Series and Game 6 would cause a conflict with the Flames game.

Rather than wait, the network, the Flames and cityTV agreed to make the change ahead of time so fans could be made aware of the change. That means the Flames game will be shown on CITY TV whether there is a Game 6 in the World Series or not.

The regular Sportsnet broadcast crew will call the game.
