Annual wheelchair hockey game

Calgary, AB – The Calgary Flames are busy preparing for what might be their most challenging game of the season, their wheelchair game versus the Townsend Tigers of the Alberta Children’s Hospital.

The Flames will play the annual wheelchair game at Dr. Gordon Townsend School versus the Tigers on Nov. 21 in an attempt to break a 25-year slump against the students.

The event is one of the most popular amng Flames players because of the smiles it puts n the faces of the children at the hospital.

This season’s Flames roster includes:

Jarome Iginla
Dion Phaneuf
Anders Eriksson
Mark Smith
Eric Godard
Matthew Lombardi
Wayne Primeau
David Hale
Eric Nystrom
Craig Conroy
David Moss
Curtis McElhinney
Alex Tanguay
Rhett Warrener

The Flames 14 man roster is one of the best ever assembled for the Wheelchair Game, giving the Flames a legitimate shot at putting a stop to the Townsend Tigers twenty-five year winning streak.
