FLAMES SIGN WILLIAM STROMGREN

The Calgary Flames announced today the signing of forward William Stromgren to a three-year entry level contract beginning in the 2023-24 season. Stromgren has signed an ATO and will report to the Calgary Wranglers on Thursday, March 30th.

Stromgren, a native of Ornskoldsvik, Sweden skated in 45 games with Brynas IF of the SHL where he recorded three goals and five assists for eight points, along with one game for Brynas IF J20 where he scored a goal and added two assists. Stromgren was also loaned to Rogle BK J20 where he played one game, recording a hat trick. The 19-year-old was a member of Team Sweden at the 2023 IIHF World Juniors where he laced up in all seven games Sweden played and recorded one assist.
