Flames sign Troy Brouwer to multi-year contract

CALGARY, AB -- The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed forward Troy Brouwer to a multi-year contract.

Brouwer, a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, was originally drafted in the seventh round (214th overall) in the 2004 NHL Draft by Chicago. In 2015-16, Brouwer recorded 18 goals and 21 assists for 39 points in 82 regular season games for the St. Louis Blues before adding 13 points (8G, 5A) in 20 playoff games. The 30-year-old won a Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2009-10 and has 32 points in 98 career playoff games.
