Flames sign forward Ken Agostino

CALGARY, AB – The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed left wing Ken Agostino from Yale University to a two year contract.

Agostino, a native of Flanders, NJ, played four seasons with Yale University capturing the NCAA National Championship with the Bulldogs in 2013. In 33 games during his senior season he netted 14 goals, 18 assists for 32 points and 46 penalty minutes. His career college numbers stand just shy of a point-per-game with 56 goals along with 76 assists for 132 points and 140 penalty minutes in 134 games.

Contract terms: Two year entry level contract with an Average Annual Value of $900,000

DRAFTED: PIT - 5th round, 140th overall, in the 2010 Entry Draft

HOW ACQUIRED: In a trade with Pittsburgh along with Ben Hanowski and Pittsburgh’s first round pick in the 2013 NHL Draft in exchange for Jarome Iginla on March 27, 2013.
