Flames sign defenceman Ryan Culkin

CALGARY, AB -- The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed defenceman Ryan Culkin to a three-year entry-level contract.

Culkin, a native of Montreal, Quebec, has played 65 games this season split between Quebec and Drummondville. He finished the regular season with eight goals and 42 assists for 50 points which ranked him fifth amongst QMJHL defencemen. Four games into the opening round of the QMJHL playoffs, Culkin currently sits eight overall in assists with five.

Contract Terms: Three-year entry-level contract with an Average Annual Value of $816,700 per season.
