CHICAGO -The Calgary Flames selected five players (one defencemen and four forwards) at the 2017 NHL Draft in Chicago during the seven-round selection process.
The Flames started their draft weekend on Friday by selecting Finnish defenceman Juuso Valimaki from the Tri-City Americans (WHL) with the 16th overall pick.
On Saturday, Calgary used its next pick to select centre Adam Ruzicka in the fourth round (109th overall). The Flames finished by picking up three wingers as they took Zach Fischer (140th overall) in the fifth, D'Artagnan Joly in the sixth round (171st overall) and Filip Sveningsson (202nd overall) with their final pick in the seventh round.
