The Calgary Flames announced today that they have assigned five players to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Stockton Heat: David Rittich (G), Brett Pollock (LW), Morgan Klimchuk (LW), Ryan Lomberg (LW/C) and Spencer Foo (RW).
Calgary has also placed three players on waivers for the purpose of being assigned to Stockton: Hunter Shinkaruk (LW), Emile Poirier (RW) and Tyler Wotherspoon (D).
The Flames have assigned two players to their respective junior clubs: Dillon Dube (Kelowna/WHL) and Juuso Valimaki (Tri-City/WHL).
Calgary has 28 players remaining at training camp (3x goalies, 8x defencemen, 17x forwards). These numbers don't include injured players Daniel Pribyl and Marek Hrivik.
