Flames recall goaltender Joni Ortio

CALGARY, AB -- The Calgary Flames announced today that they have recalled goaltender Joni Ortio from the Adirondack Flames of the American Hockey League. Calgary also announced that they have assigned goaltender Brad Thiessen to Adirondack.

Ortio, a native of Turku, Finland, played five games with Calgary earlier this season and posted a 4-1-0 record, his first NHL shutout, a 1.98 GAA, and a .931 SV%. He has featured for Adirondack in 35 games this year, posting a 20-12-1 record with four shutouts, a 2.64 GAA, .914 SV%. The 23-year-old netminder also played in the 2015 AHL All-Star Classic in January.
