The Calgary Flames announced today that they have recalled forward Andrew Mangiapane from the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League. Flames forward Michael Frolik has been placed on Injured Reserve.
Mangiapane, in his second pro year, has been the catalyst for the Stockton Heat so far this season. Mangiapane is tied for sixth in the AHL in scoring with 14 goals and 19 assists for 33 points over 29 games. He leads the Heat in points, goals, and is tied for the lead in assists while averaging 1.14 points per game. The Bolton, Ontario native was drafted by the Flames in the sixth round (166th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
