CALGARY - The Calgary Flames announced today they have signed defenceman Rasmus Andersson to a six-year contract extension.
This 23-year-old blueliner from Malmo, Sweden is in his second full season with the Flames. He has three goals and nine assists for 12 points and 33 penalty minutes in 44 games this year. Andersson spent his first two professional seasons with the Flames affiliate in Stockton where he scored 12 goals along with 49 assists for 61 points and 79 penalty minutes in 110 games and was named to the 2018 AHL All-Star Game.
