The Calgary Flames Better Halves and Good Earth Cafes came together for the first two Flames home playoff games to raise $20,000 for the Flames Foundation for Life.
Good Earth/Calgary Flames pucks were sold on the concourse at Flames home games; April 13th and April 15th, 2008 for $20 each by the Flames Better Halves.
“It is a fun event that we look forward to each year and we couldn’t thank the fans more for their support of this fundraiser,” says Kara Iginla.
Proceeds from the autographed pucks sales are directed to Rotary/Flames House; Alberta’s first free-standing youth hospice through the Flames Foundation for Life.
To date The Flames Foundation has directed over $32 million in funding to education, medical research, amateur sport and recreation.
Good Earth/Calgary Flames pucks can still be purchased at Good Earth Cafés located in Calgary and Red Deer.
