Flames assign Ben Hanowski to Abbotsford Heat

CALGARY, AB -- The Calgary Flames announced today that they have assigned forward Ben Hanowski to the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.

Hanowski, a native of Little Falls, Minnesota, played 11 games with the Flames registering a pair of assists. He has netted 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points and 18 penalty minutes in 51 games with the Heat this season prior to his call-up.

HEIGHT: 6’2’’ WEIGHT: 195 lbs.


HOW ACQUIRED: Trade with Pittsburgh along with Kenneth Agostino and Pittsburgh’s first round pick in the 2013 NHL Draft in exchange for Jarome Iginla on March 27, 2013.
