Flames and Hitmen take part in Play On!

CALGARY, AB -- The Calgary Flames and Hitmen are teaming up to attend CBC Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On! The Official Canadian Street Hockey Tournament. 

Calgary Flames Assistant Coach Dave Lowry (Former Hitmen Head Coach), current Calgary Hitmen Nathan MacMaster and Brendan Santini, and Hitmen alumnus Brandon Kozun (Los Angeles Kings Prospect) will all play in the Celebrity and Media Personality Game.

This exciting game will be held at the Deerfoot Outlet Mall tomorrow, Saturday, June 18th from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Center Rink located at the Northeast corner parking lot.  

The celebrity team also consists of media personalities from the Calgary area who will face-off against the University of Calgary Dino’s male and female hockey players.

Celebrity participants will be available for autographs following the game.

The street hockey tournament itself features four divisions; Elite, Adult, Youth and Tidbit and will be played out over both Saturday and Sunday


The Calgary Flames Street Crew will also be in attendance both days from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. giving away prizing and hosting a draw for an autographed Miikka Kiprusoff jersey.

This Calgary stop is expected to draw 3000 plus players and 18,000 spectators.
