Flames and Calgary Stampede join forces for Western Night

CALGARY, AB -- The Calgary Flames along with the Calgary Stampede are proud to host their annual Western Night this Friday, February 20th when the team faces off against the Anaheim Ducks at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a Stampede branded Foam Finger.

Friday night’s contest will feature a western theme throughout including Special Guest, Canadian Country Music recording artist Jake Matthews, who will be singing the National Anthems. The evening will also feature Mavericks mini chuckwagons accompanied by Calgary Stampedes own Les McIntyre, voice of the Stampede Chuckwagons.

There will be appearances from the 2014 Calgary Stampede Royalty, Harry the Horse, the Guns of the Golden West inside the Scotiabank Saddledome. The Stampede Stage will also be set outside the West entrance prior to the game showcasing various Stampede acts including the famous Stampede Showband. Fans are encouraged to dress in western attire for the night.

This year’s annual Flames Western Night will celebrate Calgary’s Western Heritage and prelude to this summer’s Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth – the Calgary Stampede.
