by TORIE PETERSON @ToriePeterson / CalgaryFlames.com

CLASH WITH THE KINGS

The Flames and Kings have only met once this year, back in early November when LA opened the season series with a 5-0 win at the Staples Center. After tonight's tilt, they will face off three times over a 20 day stretch. In last year's season series, the Flames were 0-3-1 with Mark Giordano leading his team with two goals and three points against the Kings.

In their last 10 games against LA, the Flames are 4-5-1.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS VS. LA

Lance Bouma made his NHL debut against the Kings on Feb. 5, 2011.

Alex Chiasson picked up his first NHL assist against the Kings on Apr. 9, 2013 as a member of the Stars.

Johnny Gaudreau's first career hat trick came in LA on Dec. 22, 2014.

MAKING A COMEBACK

Sunday's win over the Carolina Hurricanes marked the third straight game Calgary has won after allowing the first goal. The Flames are tied for the NHL lead in games won after allowing the first goal at 15. Also, only the Flames and Penguins have double-digit wins when trailing after one period. Sunday's game was also the 24th straight time that the Flames have won a game when holding the lead at the second intermission and the club has yet to lose in regulation when ahead going into the third frame.

THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN

Including tonight's game, the Flames will play 12 of their next 16 games at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

MONY MONY

Sean Monahan, who hit the 100-goal mark recently, played in his 300th NHL game on Sunday. As per Calgary Flames public relations coordinator Greger Buer, he is the first player from his 2013 NHL Draft class to play 300 games. Only a single player from the 2012 Draft (Alex Galchenyuk) has reached 300 games and only nine players from 2011 have done so. Monahan is now just one assist shy of a hundred and one point shy of 200.

MILESTONES WITHIN REACH

Sean Monahan needs 1 assist for 100 and 1 point for 200.

TJ Brodie needs 1 game for 400.
