FACING THE COYOTES
In their last 10 games against the Arizona Coyotes, the Calgary Flames hold a 6-3-1 record. In their last 10 home games against Arizona, Calgary boasts a 8-2-0 record and while they dropped both of their contests against the Coyotes at the Scotiabank Saddledome last year, they won eight games in a row prior to that.
The Flames went 1-3-1 against the Coyotes in 2015-16, with Mark Giordano and Sean Monahan leading Calgary in scoring in the season series with a goal and four points each. Tonight's game will be the first regular season match-up between the two clubs this year. They faced each other once in the pre-season, with Calgary coming away with the 2-1 shootout victory. Matthew Tkachuk scored in regulation and netted the shootout winner for the Flames in that contest.

Chad Johnson appeared in four games for the Coyotes during the 2012-13 season, posting a 2-0-2 record with a 1.21 GAA and .921 save percentage.
Johnson is coming off a 27-save shutout performance against the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday evening.
MAKING HIS WAY UP THE LIST
With his assist on Johnny Gaudreau's game-winner last night, Giordano is now just one point away from of 18th place among Calgary's franchise scoring leaders - a spot currently occupied by assistant general manager Craig Conroy, who had 308 points as a member of the Flames.
Tonight's contest is the first of a short two-game homestand for the Flames. They will then depart on their longest road trip of the season, making stops in Detroit, Buffalo, Columbus, Boston, Philadelphia, and New York on their six-game trek.
