PRESSING THE PREDS
Tonight's skate is the second match-up in a three-game season series with the Nashville Predators. The Predators took the opening game by a score of 4-3, gaining a 4-0 lead before the Flames' third period push nearly propelled the game into overtime. Kris Versteeg, Sean Monahan and Michael Frolik found the back of the net while Chad Johnson made 17 saves in the setback.
In their last 10 stops in Nashville, the Flames have a 5-5-0 record and have won their last three games at Bridgestone Arena - including a 2-1 overtime win in their lone visit to Tennessee in 2015-16.

Micheal Ferland made his NHL debut against Nashville on Oct. 31, 2014 and also scored his first NHL goal against the Predators on Mar. 29, 2015.
Johnson posted his first NHL shutout on Jan. 28, 2013 against the Preds, while he was a member of the Boston Bruins.
Dennis Wideman recorded his first NHL assist against Nashville on Nov. 12, 2005, while a member of the St. Louis Blues.
Mark Giordano pushed Saturday's game into overtime when he scored with just six seconds left in regulation in Vancouver. He has now scored in back-to-back games and has eight tallies on the year. If he can bury at least two more goals this year, he will reach 10+ goals for the fourth consecutive season.
PENALTY KILL PROWESS
The Flames' penalty killing units held off Vancouver five times on Saturday - including a 2:00 five-on-three kill. It marked the fourth straight game Calgary hasn't allowed a power play goal.
FACING THE EAST
After this evening's affair, Calgary will play nine of their next 13 games against Eastern Conference opponents. The Flames are 11-11-1-0 against Eastern Conference teams in 2016-17.
WE LIKE MIKE
The Flames acquired defenceman Michael Stone from the Arizona Coyotes on Monday, sending a 2017 third round pick and conditional 2018 fifth round pick the other way. Stone has played in 45 games this season, scoring one goal and nine points. He has been averaging 20:13 of ice time with the Coyotes this year.
