As per the Elias Sports Bureau, Monahan (at 22 years and 134 days old) became the sixth-youngest active NHLer to 100 goals with that tally, joining Steven Stamkos (100 goals in 20 years, 316 days), Sidney Crosby (21y, 72d), Jaromir Jagr (21y, 261d), Alex Ovechkin (22y, 25d), and Patrick Kane (22y, 115d).
He is the youngest player in Flames franchise history to hit the 100-goal mark as well.
ELLIOTT'S RUN
In his last eight starts, Brian Elliott is 6-1-1 and is coming off of his 14th win of the season thanks to his 23-save performance in Tampa. He has also started six of Calgary's last seven road games, going 4-1-1 in that stretch.
