Monday's game marks the second contest between the Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets this season. The Flames skated away with a 6-2 win in the first game on Dec. 10 in Calgary. Dougie Hamilton had two goals and an assist in the victory while Chad Johnson made 26 saves on 28 shots in that victory.

In their last 10 games against the Jets, the Flames have a 6-4-0 record. Calgary has won three in a row and have been victorious in five of their last seven skates vs. Winnipeg.

Michael Frolik spent two seasons in Winnipeg, recording consecutive 42-point seasons and missing just a single game during that stretch.

In his past two games, Frolik has scored three goals. He has 10 goals and 24 points in 42 skates this year.

The Flames are approaching the end of a 11-game run against Western Conference opponents, which will wrap up on Wednesday when the San Jose Sharks make a stop at the Scotiabank Saddledome. During the first nine games of this run, the Flames have a 6-3-0 record and have outscored their opponents 29-21. Mikael Backlund has led the way with 12 points during that span.

In 28 games against Western Conference clubs this year, the Flames are 16-11-1.

After missing the first two games of 2017 as a healthy scratch, Garnet Hathaway returned to the lineup on Saturday and had an immediate impact. He set up Matt Stajan's first period goal with a saucer pass from along the boards and was credited with three hits in the 3-1 victory over the Canucks.

In 20 games this season, the winger has one goal and five points.
