EVERYTHING'S ROSEY!

SUNRISE, Fla. - The leadup to Saturday's matinee tilt against the Panthers was all about 'The Trade.'
Everyone was focused on Jonathan Huberdeau, MacKenzie Weegar and Matthew Tkachuk, the three central figures in the massive summer deal between the two clubs.
But once the puck dropped, it was Adam Ruzicka who stole the show for much of the night.
Then Rasmus Andersson who brought down the curtain.

Ruzicka continued to be red hot since being put on a line with Elias Lindholm and Tyler Toffoli, scoring his third and fourth goals in his last four games, while also collecting an assist as the Flames won 5-4 in a shootout against the Panthers.
Andersson clinched it in the 1-on-1 battle, the fifth shooter for Calgary. Huberdeau also had a shootout marker as the other Calgary scorer.
For Ruzicka, it was his first career two-goal effort, his first career three-point game, and was his third multi-point game in his last four outings.
He was held off the scoresheet in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Lightning to start this season-long six-game roadie, but tallied a goal and a helper in the team's previous two wins.
Nikita Zadorov also scored and had an assist, while Blake Coleman tallied in the third period.
Jacob Markstrom made 31 saves, as did Spencer Knight.
The Flames improved to 8-7-2 with the victory while the Panthers fell to 9-8-1.
Huberdeau and Weegar were the last two players to leave the ice for Calgary after warmups, both receiving a standing O from the fans that had already settled into the bowl.
Later in the first period, a tribute video was played with a 'Thank You' message to both players at the end, once again bringing the fans out of their seats with loud applause.
Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov returned to the lineup after missing the previous game against the Stars due to illness, which led Florida to play with only 17 skaters in that tilt.
Florida went to the powerplay at 8:47 when Andrew Mangiapane was called for hooking Tkachuk during a lengthy Florida cycle in the Calgary zone.
Calgary killed it off and not long after, Dillon Dube had a glorious chance to open the scoring but his one-timer went off the post.
Ruzicka opened the scoring with 4:47 to go in the period on the powerplay, getting the puck in the left faceoff circle from Noah Hanifin and snapping a wrister past Knight.

Carter Verhaeghe ripped a wrister in the first minute of the second period that Markstrom got a piece of with his glove, but the puck dropped behind him in the blue paint. Hanifin was quick to act, sweeping the puck out of the crease as the Panthers swarmed looking to knock it home.
That heads-up play by Hanifin proved to be a big one in more ways than one, as Calgary would then score at the 50-second mark to double their lead.
Elias Lindholm's hardwork on the backcheck led to him getting the puck in the Flames zone and rifling a long pass to Ruzicka, who sent it across to a trailing Zadorov and he found twine for his fourth of the season.

The Panthers would get on the board at 3:30 after Markstrom misplayed the puck behind his net and Colin White took it and wrapped it around the post into the empty cage.
Dennis Gilbert had a quick but spirited fight with former Flame Ryan Lomberg near the midway point of the second, getting the decision after landing a handful of big blows.
The game started getting more physical right after that, Brett Ritchie taking exception to a hit by Radko Gudas on Lindholm, grabbing him as the two wrestled into the Panthers net. MIlan Lucic and Nick Cousins were also given minors and the teams skated 4-on-4.
Markstrom came up with a massive stop on a Barkov one-timer, coming across his crease to rob him, but on the next faceoff, Sam Reinhart's one-timer in the slot from a Tkachuk feed beat Markstrom amid traffic to the far side at 10:55.
If you blinked you may have missed Ruzicka's second goal, another one-timer right off a faceoff win by Lindholm that went gloveside on Knight at 12:58.

Eetu Luostarinen tied it up 1:12 into the third after a scramble, sliding it home beside a prone Markstrom.
Coleman scored Calgary's fourth at 6:56 after Mikael Backlund threw the puck out front from the boards near the goalline and it went off Gustav Forsling who tried to clear it and right to Coleman who put it home.

The Cats would come back and tie it up with 6:14 to go when Sam Bennett stepped into a slapper that Tkachuk tipped home at 13:46.
