Coaching Day in Alberta set for Sept. 22

by Staff Writer / Calgary Flames

The Calgary Flames, in conjunction with Hockey Alberta, Hockey Calgary and Tim Horton’s are proud to announce that September 22, 2007 will be Coaching Day in Alberta.

We feel that coaching is an important aspect in developing hockey players and citizens of tomorrow.

This year’s event is centered around running efficient and effective half ice practices.

With the shortage of ice in Calgary, we feel that these innovative drills will provide coaches with some new ideas they can incorporate into their practice plans.

Each coach registered will receive a coupon that they can redeem at the Hockey Calgary office for a Hockey Canada Skills Development Manual- Half Ice Practices ($35 value).

The Calgary Flames will be offering 2 for 1 tickets to the game that evening against the Edmonton Oilers. You must be in attendance to receive your tickets. Tickets will only be available for pick up at Coaching Day in Alberta on Sept. 22. Once you complete the registration form which is on the Hockey Calgary Website at COACHING DAY IN ALBERTA you will be sent the direct link to purchase tickets.

"It's not necessarily the amount of time you spend at practice that counts; it's what you put into practice that makes the difference." -Eric Lindros
