The Wranglers had their four-game winning streak snapped in overtime on Wednesday against the Ontario Reign, but despite the setback, it's still been a productive stretch for the Wranglers who have picked up nine of a possible 10 points in their last five games. (4-0-1).
Calgary picked up three wins in a row against the Abbotsford Canucks last weekend in a mini-series that had a tangible playoff feel to it. It was tough, physical hockey and the games were closely contested, with the first two needing extra time to determine a winner. In the end, the Wranglers swept the three-game set.

Matthew Phillips played the hero for the Wranglers scoring the overtime winner in the first game, then, netting the game-tying goal in the final minutes of the second game to force OT. He later scored the shootout winner to boot.
Not to be outdone, Dustin Wolf made a few superhuman saves, displaying acrobatic heroics in both his starts between the pipes. He would make a save for the ages in the final contest to preserve a 5-3 victory. Wolf (24-5-1) has 24 wins so far this season, the most in the AHL.
Oscar Dansk made his 10th appearance between the pipes against the Canucks, turning aside 25 shots to pick up his fourth win of the season.

ZARY'S BUZZIN':

Connor Zary has been making an impact offensively for this season, with 41 points in 40 games and has found success recently playing alongside Matthew Phillips and Radim Zohorna on the Wranglers top line.
He's tied with Phillips for most powerplay goals on the team with six, (only Jacob Pelletier - seven - has more with the Wranglers this season). Zary currently has six points (2g, 4a) in his last five games.
"I feel great," said the 21-year-old. "When the team's having success and obviously producing a lot of goals per game, it's always a little bit easier to get on the scoresheet and produce individually."
Zary recently appeared in his 100th career AHL game against Abbotsford on Jan. 21.
