Info on lines, defence pairings and fitness testing results

With the Flames training staff done their fitness evaluations, a new fitness testing king has been crowned.

Michael Frolik surged ahead of Mark Giordano, who has been the Flames' top veteran during testing for the past several years, to take top honours.

The 2017 pre-season kicks off on Monday and the Flames coaching staff have been experimenting with a multitude of lines and pairings that could be seen during exhibition games.

Here are Saturday's lines and pairings from each group:

Team B (9:00 a.m. skate)

The Flames are back on the ice on Sunday, starting with Team C at 9:00 a.m., followed by Team A at 11:00 a.m. and Team B at 1:00 p.m. All on-ice sessions are open for viewing to the public.

Calgary's first pre-season games are on Monday when the Flames take on the Oilers in a pair of split-squad games. Both games will start at 7:00 p.m. and will be streamed on CalgaryFlames.com.
