Calgary Flames trim roster to 29

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today the following six players have been assigned to either the Quad City Flames (AHL) or their respective Junior clubs.

QUAD CITY (AHL):
Eric Nystrom (LW)
Brett Palin (D)
David Van der Gulik (RW)

JUNIORS (CHL):
Leland Irving (G) Everett/WHL
John Negrin (D) Kootenay/WHL
J.D. Watt (RW) Red Deer/WHL

The Flames now have 29 players remaining at training camp: three goalies, eight defensemen and 18 forwards.

The Calgary Flames next home pre-season game is Saturday, September 22nd when they renew the Battle of Alberta with the Edmonton Oilers at the Pengrowth Saddledome, game time is 7pm (MT).
