TAMPA, FL -- Forward Joe Colborne was placed on the Injured Reserve on Sunday but the 24-year-old is making steady progress recovering from an upper body injury.
Colborne made the trip with the Flames and has skated every day, donning a no-contact jersey whilst out with his teammates.
“It’s a little bit more than day-to-day," head coach Bob Hartley said earlier this week. "He feels better.
"At the same time there’s no rush. Our medical staff is monitoring Joe’s progress and once he’s going to be good to go he’s going to be in but the fact that he’s on the road trip it’s always a good sign."
Colborne has eight assists in 11 games played this season. Last year, he amassed 10 goals and 28 points in 80 games with the Flames.
