Q: What was your favorite memory while playing for the Flames?
A: I have had many great memories as a Flame. Having the chance to play at home in Alberta for almost seven years and sharing your childhood dream with so many friends and family members was really special. One of my favourite memories would have to be March 22, 2014. We were in Edmonton playing the Oilers, it was the first game my linemate Matt Stajan came back after the passing of his son. We had a remarkable night, Matt scored on a penalty shot and had four points; I had a hat-trick and he assisted on all of my goals. We went on to win 8-1.

Q:Who was your favorite teammate and why?
A: I have had many great teammates. I don't think I could pick one specific guy.
Q: Where did you settle down when you retired from hockey?
A:When I retired in 2015 our family chose to stay in Calgary. I loved playing in Calgary and admired how much the Flames, Flames Alumni, and Flames Foundation were involved in the community and I wanted to be apart and give back to the game as the game has been so generous to me.

Q:What did you do after you hung up your skates?
A: I have had may hands in a few things. I was a partner of a small engineering company, I also have enjoyed having cattle and looking after them throughout the summer months. One day when I get some more time on my hands I'll look for a new endeavour.
Q: What are your interests and passions outside the game?
A: I really enjoy pretty much doing anything outside - checking animals, golfing, hunting, camping, and fishing, to name a few.

Q:Tell us a bit about your family?
A: My wife Tanya and I have been blessed with five childern. Karter is our oldest daughter. She is smart, strong willed and enjoys her one-on-one time with her parents. Paisley is such a huge helper with her younger siblings, she loves gymnastics and goes 100 miles an hour from the minute she wakes up until she hits the pillow. Stratton is our oldest son and middle child. He enjoys being outside and driving the quads, sleds and skid steer. Briggs is definitely the busiest one in the household. He is all boy and can't wait to get outside and play in the mud or feed the animals. Callahan is the icing on the cake, our littlest who is popular amongst her siblings.
