The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights released their 22-man Clear Day Roster Friday.
According to AHL by-laws, only those players listed on a team’s Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remaining six weeks of the 2006-07 AHL regular season and in the 2007 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension.
Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts but only after their respective junior or college seasons are complete.
Those players on the Clear Day list are:
Goalies: Curtis McElhinney, Brent Krahn
Defensemen: Adam Pardy, Tim Ramholt, Brett Skinner, Tim Hambly, Brett Palin, Brad Ference, Mark Giordano, Steve Marr Forwards: Cam Cunning, Kris Chucko, Tomi Maki, Dustin Boyd, Justin Taylor, Carsen Germyn, Eric Nystrom, Derek Couture, David Van der Gulik, Warren Peters, Andrei Taratukhin, Brandon Prust
For the Flames, it means that forwards David Moss and Eric Godard are likely staying in Calgary for the rest of the season.
Defenceman Mark Giordano, who has spent the bulk of the season in Calgary, is eligible to join the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights.
The Flames have eight defencemen, including David Hale, who was acquired at the trade deadline. Another defenceman, Richie Regehr, is injured.
