Wisniewski Suspended Two Games

by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks
Ducks defenseman James Wisniewski has been suspended for two games, without pay, for delivering a forearm blow to the head of Phoenix Coyotes forward Shane Doan in the Ducks' 3-2 shootout loss on October 31, the National Hockey League announced today.

The incident occurred at 7:12 of the first period. No penalty was assessed on the play.

Wisniewski will miss Anaheim’s game against Pittsburgh on Tuesday and against Nashville Thursday.  He will be eligible to return Saturday against Phoenix.

Wisniewski has nine points in nine games in 2009-10, while averaging around 25 minutes per game of ice time.
