The Chris Anderson Group is a local blues, soul and rock n’roll band. Over the past several years, the band has performed at numerous festivals and fundraisers, various clubs throughout Southern California and many private functions. Its members include Chris Anderson (vocals and guitar), Rich Smith (drums and vocals) and Mike Casper (bass and vocals). Ducks fans were encouraged to vote for their favorite band online at AnaheimDucks.com/OCLAConcertSeries to help recognize and showcase top local talent.
The Miller Lite OC/LA Concert Showdown gave four participating bands the opportunity to perform live at Honda Center on the South concourse prior to a Ducks home game. Selected from over 100 bands and musicians, each top-four finalist had the opportunity to play at Honda Center prior to a Ducks game this season. In addition to The Chris Anderson Group, local bands The Altar Billies, Rhyme And Reason and the Brandon Ummel Band were the top-four finalists. The Chris Anderson Group will also have their music showcased in-game on HondaVision, through the club’s social media channels, as well as on the Ducks television (KDOC-TV HD) and radio (KLAA AM 830) broadcasts.
