The Ducks have launched the 2010-11 Wild Wingers Kids Club. For $25, children can join the ‘coolest club on ice’ and receive a Kids Club kit that features Ducks-branded items, discounts to local shops and attractions, and tickets to team parties. The Kids Club will be captained this year by Ducks goaltender Jonas Hiller
“We’re pleased to launch another season of the Wild Wingers Kids Club,” said Ducks Director of Fan Development Matt Savant. “We are proud to have the largest Kids Club in the NHL and will continue to drive toward our top goal of promoting education and youth hockey in the community.”
During the 2009-10 season, the Kids Club passed 8,000 members, the highest number among all NHL clubs. The Wild Wingers Kids Club is part of a three-pronged approach to fan development that includes the Ducks S.C.O.R.E. Program (Scholastic Curriculum of Recreation & Education) and G.O.A.L. youth hockey program (Growth, Outreach and Awareness Locally). Now in its ninth season, the Kids Club is part of the club’s goal to reach out to the youth of Southern California on a grass-roots level. Since the creation of the fan development initiative, over 150,000 children have been exposed to hockey and the Anaheim Ducks as a result of those efforts.
A Wild Wingers Kids Club membership includes a kit that is valued over $300. Children will enjoy a variety of benefits, including one ticket voucher to a select 2010-11 Anaheim Ducks home game and a free hot dog and soda, a Kids Club 12-month hanging calendar, Kids Club sweatbands, a Kids Club Jonas Hiller
t-shirt and a foam hand. In addition, every member receives a Wild Wingers Kids Club Duck Tag, which provides discounts to the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Knott’s Berry Farm, Discovery Science Center, Boomers! Irvine, Aquarium of the Pacific, Ultimate Skate, Hockey Giant, and much more. Members also receive tickets to two parties during the season featuring Ducks players, including the Wild Wingers Kids Club Kickoff Party to watch an Anaheim Ducks practice and the annual End of the Year Party with a special appearance by Hiller.
Kids Club kits can be purchased online at the newly redesigned WildWingersKidsClub.com, at the Anaheim Ducks Team Store, located adjacent to the east doors of Honda Center or on Honda Center’s concourse, just outside Section 214 during all Ducks home games.
