The Ducks announced on Wednesday morning that left wing Aaron Voros has cleared waivers. The club now has the option to either keep him with up with the NHL club or send him to Syracuse of the AHL.
Voros, obtained in a trade with the New York Rangers on July 9, played in 12 games with the Ducks this season. In that span, he went scoreless with 43 PIM and 12 hits. The 29-year-old has been on injured reserve twice in 2010-11. After missing four games in December with a severe case of the flu, Voros suffered a fractured orbital bone in a fight with Vancouver's Kevin Bieksa on Dec. 8 and had to sit the next 21 games before returning on Feb. 2.
