The Science of Hockey to be Featured on KTLA Morning News

The KTLA Morning News (channel 5 in Los Angeles/Orange County) will be live from the Science of Hockey exhibit at Discovery Science Center on Thursday morning. Reporter Gayle Anderson will report live from 6-9 a.m. In the 7 a.m. hour, she will be joined live by Ducks Head Athletic Trainer Tim Clark, who will discuss the role science plays in the sport of hockey.

In the 8 a.m. hour, Gayle will be joined by Ducks defenseman Bret Hedican and his wife, Olympic Gold Medalist and Dancing with the Stars champion Kristi Yamaguchi. The couple will compare and contrast figure and hockey skates at the “Slice the Ice” exhibit.

Also, on Thursday and Friday XM’s NHL Home Ice will broadcast live from the DSC, from noon-1 p.m. & 2-3 p.m. on Thursday, and noon-3 p.m. on Friday. Home Ice can be found on XM Channel 204 and Sirius Channel 208.

The Science of Hockey exhibit opens to the public on Apr. 2.
