Honda Center and the Anaheim Ducks have introduced a new hospitality option for fans visiting the facility during 2009 Stanley Cup Playoff home contests. “The Playoff Spot” is a one-of-a-kind area where fans can gather to enjoy playoff hockey atmosphere in an outdoor setting.
The Playoff Spot, which opens three hours prior to faceoff and is available throughout the game, offers large-screen plasma televisions for viewing NHL playoff action (including out-of-market games) and exclusive menu options and beverages. Barbeque chefs cook fresh beef brisket sandwiches, glazed half chickens and corn on cob, while Carl’s Jr, Rubio’s, Oggi’s, Wienerschnitzel, Miller Brewing Company and Jack Daniel’s offer arena favorites. The area features a casual atmosphere with seating for diners and hi-top tables for game viewing.
“This is a concept we believe brings added value to the fan experience at Honda Center,” said Ducks Executive VP/COO and AAM President/CEO Tim Ryan. “Not only will fans find new and inspired menu options and increased speed of service, but also a unique outdoor setting to be enjoyed both pre-game and during intermissions.”
The Playoff Spot is located just outside Honda Center’s north doors. It is available to ticketed fans at every 2009 Anaheim Ducks home playoff game (weather permitting).
