Selanne: 1000!

by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks
Mighty Ducks right wing Teemu Selanne had two goals on Monday night against the Los Angeles Kings to reach 1000 career NHL points.

Selanne is the seventh European in NHL history to reach 1,000 NHL points. The only other Finnish player to reach 1,000 points is Selanne’s close friend and NHL Hall-of-Famer Jari Kurri (1,398). Selanne is the 70th player in NHL history to reach the milestone.

Selanne has points in each of his last 12 games (5-13=18). Since he entered the NHL in 1992-93, his 1000 career points rank third in the league (behind only Jagr & Sakic).
