Ryan Strome paced Anaheim offensively with two points (1-1=2) in his first exhibition action as a Duck. Pavol Regenda and Isac Lundestrom also scored for Anaheim while Olen Zellweger, Troy Terry, Frank Vatrano, Cam Fowler and Blake McLaughlin added assists.
Lukas Dostal earned his second win in as many preseason starts, stopping 28-of-29 Arizona shots.
"Dos did a great job," Fowler said. "I've been really impressed by him. He cares a lot and he works hard at his craft. I was happy to see him have a great game."
With the win, Anaheim improved to 2-1-0 through three exhibition games, with both wins coming over Arizona. The Coyotes now sit 0-3-1 for the preseason.
Strome, Vatrano and John Klingberg made their unofficial Ducks debuts in the win. McLaughlin appeared in his first career NHL preseason game.
Dylan Guenther scored the lone Coyotes goal. Karel Vejmelka made 20 saves.
Anaheim went ahead first late in the opening period on Regenda's second goal of the preseason. Terry took the puck behind the net, leaning away from a Coyotes defender and delivering a backhand cross-crease pass right onto Regenda's tape. The Slovakian winger finished the job with ease, quickly tapping it over the line before Vejmelka could go post-to-post.

Ducks forward Trevor Zegras left the game in the second period following an open-ice hit by Jan Jenik. No penalty was called on the play and Zegras did not return.
Adam Henrique immediately came to the defense of Zegras, scrapping with Jenik at center ice. Arizona was awarded a power play after the fight as Henrique was assessed an instigator penalty and 10-minute misconduct.
"I'm proud of the guys for sticking up for one another," Fowler said. "That's obviously not something [Henrique] doesn't do very often but you see him sticking up for Z there. That's encouraging.
It's a big part of hockey, sticking up for one another."
The 'Yotes then tied the game on the subsequent man advantage when Guenther tipped home Christian Fischer's point shot at the 10:18 mark of the middle frame.
The game's temperature turned up several degrees from there on out with four fights and a total of 106 combined penalty minutes between the clubs.
"They have guys competing for jobs and we do, too," head coach Dallas Eakins said. "Testosterone levels are high. It's going to happen sometimes."
In the mean time, Anaheim reclaimed the lead on a pretty passing play by Strome and Zellweger, the latter of whom delivered a perfect slap pass to the new Ducks forward alone on the backdoor. Strome got just enough of the setup feed, redirecting it off the post and in for to put the Ducks back ahead.

Strome came inches from his second goal of the night early in the third with two chances in alone on Vejmelka, but the second bid on the sprawled goaltender clipped the inside of the post and stayed out of the net.
The Ducks took a two-goal lead anyways just a few minutes later though as Lundestrom continued his stellar preseason performance, beating Vejmelka with a one-timer from the slot off a low-to-high pass by McLaughlin.
Anaheim completely shut the door defensively from that point, preventing Arizona from generating much of anything in the offensive zone and locking down a 3-1 victory.
The Ducks continue their seven-game preseason schedule Friday night, hosting the San Jose Sharks at Honda Center.
