ANAHEIM - Gaining points in four straight games is small consolation for a Ducks team that just can't seem to find its way in overtime.

Despite tying its battle with the Minnesota Wild with 6 1/2 minutes in the third period, the Ducks succumbed to a Matt Dumba goal with 1:17 left in a mostly fruitless OT to fall 3-2 at Honda Center. It was Anaheim's seventh loss in overtime or shootout (2-7) this season, tied for most in the league, while three of their last four games have been losses in extra time. Anaheim went 3-10 in games decided in the five minutes of 3-on-3 overtime last season.
"It's frustrating. It feels like we're tentative," said Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler. "I don't want to speak for the other guys, but it just seems like we can't seem to create any offensive chances. We're playing with the puck, we're changing and we're trying to manage the puck, and one breakdown it seems like it's in the back of the net right now. It's something we'll look at."
The Ducks caught the Wild with 6:25 remaining in regulation on Adam Henrique's third goal in five games since joining the Ducks last week, but much of the credit for it goes to Corey Perry. The veteran winger was knocked to the ice near the Minnesota crease but managed to bank a loose puck off the end board right to Henrique, who stuffed it into the open net.

The goal gave Henrique six points in five games with Anaheim, and marked the second-longest scoring streak to start a Ducks career in franchise history. (Only Teemu Selanne had a longer streak at 15 games in 1995-96 after coming to Anaheim in a trade with Winnipeg.)
The Ducks had few chances in overtime and finally were vanquished when Dumba weaved his way to the net and beat goalie John Gibson from in deep. Gibson made a number of big saves in the third period and overtime to keep the Ducks in it, among his 28 stops on the night.

"We kept fighting," Fowler said. "Overall, the game was pretty evenly played. Couple bounces here and there. We continued to stick with it and give us a chance in overtime."
Rookie Kevin Roy scored his fourth of the year near the midway point of the opening period, throwing the puck on net from near the faceoff dot, and it snuck under and behind goalie Devan Dubnyk.

Anaheim had a number of chances to increase the lead, but instead Minnesota tied it with 5:11 left in the second on a Jason Zucker backhand.
The Wild took the lead two minutes later when Zack Mitchell flipped in a loose puck from the top of the crease and held that lead until Henrique came through again for Anaheim.
"It's frustrating. Disappointing. I thought we had a decent hockey game," Ducks defenseman Francois Beauchemin said. "We played good at times. They capitalized off our mistakes. We didn't make too many, but just the little things."
The Ducks are at it again Monday vs. Carolina, which is Star Wars Night at Honda Center.
"It's about getting points," Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said. "Yes, we're not happy we didn't win the hockey game, but we got a point and it's time to move on and get ready for Carolina."
