Ducks defenseman Chris Pronger had surgery Monday to repair a small fracture in his jaw. He is listed as day to day, but may be available to play in Anaheim's next game Friday versus the Calgary Flames at Honda Center.
"It isn't clear how much time he will miss," said Ducks Executive Vice President/General Manager Brian Burke to reporters this afternoon. "It's certainly not expected to be lengthy. A game or two is the expectation at this point in time."
Pronger was injured Sunday night when he was hit by the stick blade of Chicago forward Patrick Sharp, on the follow-through of a Sharp shot that resulted in a second-period goal.
