The Ducks open their 2018 preseason schedule tonight with a road contest against the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center. (7:30 p.m. PT, TV: None, Radio: KSPN 710). This is the first of six preseason games for the Ducks, who will return home to host the Sharks on Thursday. From there, the Ducks will take on the Arizona Coyotes at Gila River Arena on Saturday before returning home for games at Honda Center against the Coyotes next Monday and the LA Kings on Wednesday, September 26. Anaheim will close out its preseason slate on Saturday, September 29 at Staples Center in LA, and then open the 2018-19 regular season on Wednesday, October 3 at SAP Center against the Sharks.

, expect a blend of veterans and young players to make the trip to Northern California tonight. The Ducks will hold a pregame skate later this morning at THE RINKS - Anaheim ICE, giving us a closer look into the expected lineup against the Sharks.
Historical Note: Today marks the 25th anniversary of Anaheim's first-ever preseason game (Sept. 18, 1993 vs. Pittsburgh). Bobby Dollas and Terry Yake tallied goals for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in a 5-2 loss to the Penguins at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim.
This also represents the Sharks' preseason opener - the first of six on their schedule. After a home-and-home set with the Ducks, the Sharks will host the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday and then open another home-and-home series with the Calgary Flames next Tuesday at Scotiabank Saddledome and Thursday at SAP Center. San Jose's preseason finale will take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, September 30.
