Power Player Tryout Set for Saturday at The Rinks - Anaheim Ice
/ Anaheim Ducks
The Ducks will hold their 2011-12 Power Player tryouts this Saturday, July 9, beginning at 9 a.m. The tryouts will take place at THE RINKS - Anaheim ICE Presented by Honda, located at 300 West Lincoln Ave. in Anaheim. The Power Players support the Ducks event presentation efforts at every Ducks home game, as well as make appearances at various community events. The Ducks are in search of charismatic and outgoing individuals who possess excellent communication skills and are knowledgeable about the sport of hockey.
Saturday’s tryouts will be divided into two portions. Registration will take place at 9 a.m., upon which Power Player hopefuls will be provided with a numbered bib and participate in skating drills. Ducks television analyst and former NHL goaltender Brian Hayward, along with a panel of Ducks staff members will assess each participant’s skating ability and on-ice personality. Following a lunch break, a smaller group of candidates will advance to the panel interview portion of the auditions. Candidates selected to continue the interview process after Saturday’s tryouts will be contacted approximately one week later.
All participants are asked to visit AnaheimDucks.com to download and complete an online application. Candidates must be at least 19 years of age to participate in the 2011-12 Power Player tryouts. Although skating experience is encouraged, it is not required. For additional information, please visit AnaheimDucks.com/powerplayers or call 1-877-WILDWING.
