Postgame QuotesAnaheim 2 vs. Los Angeles 3Nov. 20, 2016Honda Center
Anaheim Ducks
Antoine Vermette
On the game
All in all, it's disappointing we're not coming out of this on the right side of the game. After two disappointing periods, we played much better in the third. If we play that way, I like our chances.

On the Kings
You have to give them credit. They played hard and executed. They capitalized on their opportunities. They had two power plays and made them count. Those two goals were big. That was a big momentum swing. We have to be ready right away.
Rickard Rakell
On the game
They dominated us in the first two periods, but I wish we would've played the whole game like we did in the third period. Maybe it would've been different. We have to move forward and make sure it doesn't happen again.
On the third period
We attacked with a little bit more speed and tried to get to the net. We weren't as sloppy as we were in the first two periods.
Head Coach Randy Carlyle
On the game
I liked that we had a response, but I didn't like the first two periods. We didn't play anywhere near what we're capable of. They did a good job of out-working us. They out-worked us for two periods and got the two points. If you're not prepared to play 60 minutes, you're not going to have success.
On the lack of emotion
Usually these games are full of emotion, but we didn't have any response. Pucks were going through our sticks and we couldn't execute a tape-to-tape pass. We couldn't get involved physically until the third period.
LA Kings
Drew Doughty
On the win
They brought it to us, but we stuck with it and played desperate hockey. We did whatever it took even though it wasn't going our way and we came out with the win.
On playing back-to-back games
We knew we had a little break after this game, so we weren't going to leave anything in the tank. We put it all out there and played our hearts out.
On the Ducks' two goals
They dominated the third. We were in our own zone for long periods of time and that caused long shifts which made us tired, and when you're tired you can't perform to the best of your ability.
Jeff Carter
On his second goal
I didn't have to do a lot there. It hit me in the chest, I got it before it crossed the line and it went in.
On the win
It was a huge game. We know what the games are like when we play Anaheim. At home they took it to us pretty good. We had a tough schedule. This is our last game of the stretch here, and it was a good character win for our team. They really dug in and made it interesting at the end, but two points is two points.
On the Kings' three-game win streak
It's nice to get another win on the road. It's only our third all year, so hopefully we can build on the road. We have to be consistent. We can't have these highs and lows and expect to make the playoffs. We have to put wins together, and hopefully we can keep this going.
Head Coach Darryl Sutter
On the pressure from the Ducks in the third period
I didn't think it was that frantic. We played a really hard game, considering we played last night and we played two back-to-backs in the last week.
On playing the Ducks after playing the night before
Division games are tough, it's a tough division. Travel hasn't been easy. We probably felt tonight like Anaheim did earlier in the year where you're getting a lot of games jammed down your throat and everybody is criticizing you. You just try to stick together in the room.
