Ryan Kesler

On the frustration of not coming away with two points
Being up 2-0 and giving that lead up, and then battling back like we did, it’s tough. At least we salvaged a point tonight. We’ll take the positive. It’s 3-on-3 hockey and anything can happen.

On scoring his first goal of the season
It’s always nice to get the first one out of the way, but I’d still like the ‘W’ instead.

Ryan Getzlaf
On the game
The guys worked hard tonight. The second period, we kind of had a let up and left our goalie out to dry. He played outstanding again. At least we got the point and we can take a little bit out of that moving forward, but as a line, I thought we let our other guys down.

On the overtime goal
For whatever reason, we seemed a little out of sync tonight – as a line, as a unit. (The overtime) was another example of it. I thought Pears [Corey Perry] was coming inside. He went outside. That was the case all night. We played three good games together. I don’t know what happened tonight. As a line, we didn’t carry our weight.

Head coach Bruce Boudreau
On the game
The reason why we found the back of the net was because we’d go to the net and drive the middle lane. If we’re going to play on the perimeter, we’ll never score. We started to do it a little later on in the third period. That’s why we got opportunities.

On earning the point
One point is always good, but you’ve got to believe at home, against a divisional opponent, you want two points. When you have a 2-0 lead after one (period), you should be able to close it out. We didn’t.

Mikkel Boedker

On establishing his team’s pace of play from the start
I think we started out really well. Obviously getting down 2-0 is not ideal, but we felt good the whole game. I think (Tippett) settled us down after the 2-0 there and just told us we were in the game, and we were in the game.

On his team’s success on the forecheck and in board battles
I think it was an overall effort. Obviously Max (Domi) and then (Duclair) put them home, but all four lines rolled real hard and we’ve got to give credit to our goalie, too. He was outstanding tonight.

Max Domi

On his team’s confidence after the first period
We’re a confident group as it is. Obviously, we know what we’re capable of. We just try to live up to that and hold each other accountable and we did a great job of that tonight. (Lindback) played unbelievable to keep us in the game and we kind of lost our groove a little bit there. But at the end of the day when you add it together, this was a huge win.

Head Coach Dave Tippett
On his team’s performance after trailing 2-0

We were fine, we just chipped away. They got a couple quick ones there, but I thought we were playing well. In the second period, I thought we played better. So we just wanted to chip away at it. Third period we turned the puck over and it ended up in the back of our own net, but we kept hanging around the game and that’s what we wanted to do tonight, come in and play a real good, strong road game. I thought it was an entertaining game, it was fast both ways, some chances and we got a break at the end that we capitalized on.

On his team focusing on puck possession and board battles
That’s how we want to play all the time. We’ve got young players with lots of energy and they want to compete. If we can play at a high pace like that, it makes us a good team.
