Ryan Getzlaf

On the team’s efforts
We should’ve come in with some excitement today, and we came out flat; not that we played horrible, but we came out flat. We didn’t have the energy; we didn’t have our entire lineup going all night long.
On the Coyotes' play this season
This is a good team, they play hard.  They’ve got young kids over there that skate and play the game.
John Gibson
On his attempt to keep the team in the game
I thought I could’ve stopped a couple of the goals that I let in, so I wanted to just do my best to give us a chance to win at the end and keep the score where it was.
On Michael Stone’s goal

I’m not sure, I didn’t see it. I didn’t really look at the replay or anything, obviously, so I can’t really tell you… It’s one of those with a good little screen, but you’d like to have it back.

Head Coach Bruce Boudreau

On the team’s consistency
We can play really good on certain occasions, and then the next night we don’t play as well. We had pockets tonight, and then we had times where we looked like we were brain dead. They just picked it up tonight, and we couldn’t handle it.
On Anaheim’s mental game
I don’t know what the answer is; I’ve got to believe it’s the 6-inches between your ears. To be consistent mentally, you’ve got to be focused on the whole game. You can’t just come in there and whether you play 6 minutes or 26 minutes, look at it that way. You’ve got to come and play like a pro.
On the importance of tonight’s game
We knew the importance of this game; we knew what we were trying to achieve…We knew where we stood and what would be accomplished if we had a successful night and we came in and you give up some bad, bad goals while at the time you can’t score 5-on-5. It’s not a good combination.

Mike Smith

On what the Coyotes did to win tonight’s game
We played a 200 foot game tonight and made them play the same way. We frustrated them… we competed hard in all zones and made it real hard on them to get anything going.
On returning to the lineup tonight
I felt pretty good. It was obviously nice to get a lead and to play like we did tonight. I thought for the most part we did a lot of things real well tonight.
Nicklas Grossmann
On the Coyotes’ defense tonight
I think it was pretty good. We had a few dips here and there, but Mike Smith stepped up when we needed him with some good key saves. I thought the guys did a good job.
On his return to the lineup
Its been a lot of talking and asking questions and I figured, lets just rock and roll. It felt good to be out there with the boys and this is the way we play the game.

Head Coach Dave Tippett
On the Coyotes’ defensive performance tonight
I mean 5 on 5 we limited them pretty good. They had a few on the power play, but when you have that much skill on the team we knew we had to check well. It was a real good group effort. We didn’t hide anybody from anybody else and everyone did the job and that is what we were hoping for.
On Shane Doan’s injury
I think it is a day by day thing. It was still right up to after the skate today there was hope that he would play and then he got to the rink this afternoon and they told him that it was best if he doesn’t, so we will give him a day off tomorrow and he’ll skate maybe, hopefully Friday morning and we will see where he is at.
On Jordan Martinook and the shot at the end
I haven’t seen him yet. Sometimes those, it looked like he was looking at his leg and it might have been dripping and sometimes those get kind of explosion cuts on ya and it’s just a pressure cut on ya. I haven’t seen him yet, but he’s played a lot of the year with a lot worse than that.
