Frederik Andersen

On the goals allowed
A couple of them were stoppable today, but there were a couple bad bounces off the glove. That’s how it goes sometimes. You have to be better.

On the game
I don’t think we played that bad. We had a really good first period, but the first goal took the energy out of us. They took it to us for the rest of the game.

Corey Perry
On the Penguins
They moved the puck and had us running around in our zone. Especially in the first few shifts of the game, they hemmed our line in a couple of times.

On second period struggles
It’s not our best period this season. We have to figure that out, especially here at home. You just have to go out and do the right things.

Emerson Etem
On the game
They stuck with their game plan, and maybe we let off a little bit. That’s what it comes down to, especially in the last few minutes of the third period. If we bring that for the full 60, there’s no reason why you can’t come out with a better outcome. You have to tip your hat to them. They have some skilled players over there, and they were able to use their speed and skill to capitalize.

Head Coach Bruce Boudreau

On Andersen’s performance
We win as a team and we lose as a team. Sometimes a goalie lets in ones he’d like to have back. With the amount of times our goalies have kept us in the game, there’s no way I’m going to [complain] if they let in a soft one every now and again.

On the second period

I thought the third goal hurt, but what are you going to do? We were down 3-0 after two periods. It’s a tough team to come back on.

Patric Hornqvist

On getting off to a good start
I think against Colorado that we didn’t play our best. Everybody wanted to show each other how good we could play. Our second period today was really good. It was a big win.

On having success against Anaheim
Just puck luck in front of the net. I try to go there and it seems like I get the opportunities to score more against Anaheim. It’s just luck.

Ben Lovejoy
On the game
That was a complete game. Well, a great 50 minutes. I think we eased up a little bit at the end. I think that my new team showed up tonight. We’re hard to play against with that much speed in the lineup. It was a lot of fun.

On playing against Anaheim so soon after the trade
I was able to come in with so much energy and adrenaline. It was so fun to be a part of. I’m so glad my new team won. This was such a special place for me. I was so proud to be a Duck. I’m lucky that my new team is very good and a group I’m very comfortable with and hopefully can fit right back in with.

Head Coach Mike Johnston
On the game
It was one of those games where the shot totals were really low for both teams early and I thought it was more of a feeling out process until one team was going to score. Both teams played really well defensively. And then I thought the best period for us was the second period. I thought we really picked it up in the second period. Until they got their first goal I thought like we were really in control of the game.

On their victory
I don’t know if we took it to them but we beat them in the end. That was the most important thing. I have a lot of respect for that team. They’re a very good hockey team. They’ve got a lot of depth. I know they have some defenseman coming back into the lineup soon. I think having only played them early in the season and then now, with their size they’re going to be a tough team in the playoffs. For us, it was a game that we didn’t feel we played well in Colorado. We come in here and knew we had to play well tonight. They were on a roll, they’ve been playing really well and that was a good test for us, and we met it. And now we’ve got a big one tomorrow night.
