On the game
They’ve been paying great the past five games. It’s a little bit easier to play when you have nothing to lose, but you have to give them credit. They played hard tonight, and Sergei Bobrovsky played really well.

On improvements that need to be made
The biggest thing is smarter puck decisions. All of us. All 20 guys on the ice have to make better decisions with the puck. You can control that, so that’s a good thing. I don’t think it’s skating or scoring opportunities. We had plenty of those, and I thought we could’ve capitalized a little more. We got snake bit. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the result. Right now we have to keep battling. It’s a tough road trip.

On the physical play
I’ve played here for four years. They’re a blue collar, hard-working team. They’re going to be in your face. That’s the biggest thing. You have to come ready to play every night when you play the Blue Jackets.

On what was said during the second intermission

We just said it’s only one shot. We’re on the road and we’ve had plenty of opportunities. We’re going to get opportunities. Just keep your nose to the grindstone. Keep battling. Unfortunately, we didn’t capitalize. We had plenty of chances, but Bobrovsky made some big saves. One positive is that if we play like we did in the third period for 60 minutes, we’re not going to lose many games.
