On tonight’s game
We had that one-goal lead and a couple odd-man rushes against lead to the puck in our net. We battled. Our penalty kill could be a little better. We moved the puck pretty well on the power play, but we have to keep going and keep working. We have a big game on Sunday. We still have a game in-hand on these guys. If we win Sunday, we’re back with them.

It was pretty good defensively. Both teams played well. We didn’t give each other too much. Those are the types of game that are going to be played. The pace will still go up in the next few weeks, but it was a physical game. Those are playoff games.

Head coach Bruce Boudreau

It’s a tough game, but that’s what happens when you have two good teams going at it. We made a mistake on the 2-on-1, and those are the things that are going to cost you.

On tonight’s game
Everybody knew the importance of the game. Both teams were focused for the whole game.

On Sunday’s game against Florida
We don’t have the luxury of having a letdown right now. We’ve got a game in hand on them still, and if that was the game in hand, we have to take it to our advantage.
