David Perron

On his first game
I didn’t really expect to have that much energy with a six-hour flight yesterday, but I actually got a lot better as the game went on. In the third period, we got things going with Getzy [Ryan Getzlaf] and Stewie [Chris Stewart]. I got some legs and some chances. We almost tied it up. It’s been a crazy 48 hours. I’m glad this one is out of the way.

On his goal
[Jonathan] Quick is the goalie I hate to face the most. I’ve played him twice in the playoffs, and haven’t had much success, but it was good to see that one go in.

Andrew Cogliano
On the disallowed goal
I didn’t mean to kick it in. Sometimes, with momentum, you just move your foot. It was just a little bit of a forward motion. I think if I planted my skate in, it would’ve redirected in. It’s tough in that situation.

On the team overall

We’re playing good teams. We’re battling. We showed we could play with them. They’re probably the toughest team to play in the league. When they’re playing their game, they’re just really good. We proved to ourselves we can play with them. We had them on their heels a lot in the third period.

Rickard Rakell
On the game
We had our chances, but we didn’t put the puck in. They had some chances that they capitalized on. We had a good feeling coming into tonight. I thought from time to time we played a pretty good game. We just didn’t execute.

On the rivalry
The crowd is always into the game. It’s a tough, physical game and they’re always close ones. We’re looking forward to the next one.

Head Coach Bruce Boudreau
On the effort and intensity
It was a pretty good game. Both teams had chances. It was pretty evenly played. They took advantage of theirs, and we had opportunities we didn’t take advantage of. That happens.

On Perron’s game
It’s tough because he’s never practiced with us, but you can tell he has skill. The shot he took was a skilled shot. I look for bigger things from him.

Tyler Toffoli

On the game overall
It was a good bounce back game for us. We scored a good power play goal and got the win like we wanted.

On the shift in momentum

We had our legs and we knew we were going to get some chances. We capitalized on our chances when we started cycling down low and getting pucks to the net and that’s what created our chances.

Alec Martinez

On the game overall
Every time you play Anaheim you know it’s going to be a physical battle. It’s usually really physical and we saw a couple fights there. That’s normal for our two teams.

On the reliance of the goalie in the 3rd period
Quickie [Jonathan Quick] comes up big for us all the time. He made a lot of big saves tonight and he is a huge part of our team.

Head Coach Darryl Sutter
On Kopitar’s line
I don’t think you wait until the second period to get rhythm. I think they were good the whole night. In particular those three centermen were all really good for us.

On Lecavalier’s goal
It’s a big goal. It’s a power play goal. These two teams don’t give up many scoring chances tonight. There were three or four penalties each. We scored a power play goal and they didn’t and in the end that has a big impact on the game.
