Series tied: 2-2

Nate Thompson

On feeding off adversity
We’ve dealt with it all year, so we’re used to it. And it shows the character in this room and what we’re capable of. We didn’t have our best for the first two games, but I thought we were a lot better these last two. We still have a lot of work to do. There’s still a lot of series left.

On rebounding following Nashville’s push in the second period
We were just thinking ‘stay calm, stay the course.’ They’re at home, and they’re going to make a push. They did that by scoring a big goal. We just kept our composure and we knew we had to stick with it and push back. We had some timely goals.

Chris Stewart
On the mindset heading into the game
We knew we were down two coming in here, and we wanted to get one. Once we got that, we shifted focus on getting the second one. Now it’s a best-of-three with home ice advantage. We’re going home to a good crowd. Hopefully we get a win and come back here.

On overcoming adversity
I think [Kesler] said it best. We did it the hard way, but hopefully we can clean it up and close this thing out.

Head Coach Bruce Boudreau

On taking advantage of the four-on-four with a goal
That was a great change by Getzlaf. It was a good play by Ricky [Rakell], who held onto it, and Nate [Thompson], who delayed that half-second to sneak it by [Pekka Rinne].

On blocking shots
It’s determination and guys wanting to succeed. It takes a lot of courage to block shots. This team is a pretty good group. They want to succeed, so they’re willing to pay the price.
