Ryan Garbutt
On the keys in the third period
We had to stay out of the box. It was a tough second period having to kill all those penalties, but it brought us together. It's definitely a big win for the boys. It was a tough road trip for us with all of those home openers. It's going to be fun playing in front of our own fans.

On his game-winning goal
It was a great pass from Holzer. I was just in the right spot at the right time. That was one of the best passes I've ever gotten from a defenseman from behind the net. It was awesome being on the other end of that.
On Sorensen
He's been solid. He plays hard and he's easy to play with. I'm definitely happy to see him earn that first career NHL point.
Head Coach Randy Carlyle
On the biggest takeaway from the victory
The competitiveness we displayed for 60 minutes. We got sidetracked by taking the four straight penalties, but that was something we addressed in-between periods. I liked our demeanor as far as going out and competing in the small areas. We're going to need to have more of that. When you're on the road, you have to find points and ways to win. It's about time we found a way to win a hockey game.
On the penalty kill
The defensive side of hockey is about structure and outworking the opposition. Tonight we were fortunate enough that our penalty killers rose to the occasion. We taxed them far too many times, but we're not going to critique a win. Wins have been hard to come by. Our penalty killers did a staunch job tonight, and we had a team effort from our hockey club. That's what it takes to win on the road.
On the importance of Perry's goal
It lifted some pressure off of our group, but it was a good thing he scored because he was going to get the wrath for the penalties he took in the game. Both him and Getzlaf took minors that were questionable from our standpoint, and we cannot take those penalties.
